Pilates For You

Pilates For You (PFY) is a classical Pilates studio that offers semi-private and private Pilates sessions and Pilates classes tailored for your body’s unique needs. Our studio offers expert Pilates sessions and classes in Paramus, NJ, including Pilates Reformer classes, Pilates Chair sessions, Pilates Barrel sessions, Spine Corrector sessions, and Cadillac sessions.
Our mission is to give personalized and complete attention to each client. Everyone’s needs and bodies are different, so why limit yourself to a one-size-fits-all group class? At PFY, we offer assessments of your body’s weaknesses and strengths and set goals for you to feel comfortable, confident, and in control of your own body again. After setting goals, we curate a Pilates exercise plan to restore your body to wholeness and strength, one session at a time.
In semi-private and private settings, your Pilates sessions will have a sequence designed by a body movement specialist for your unique needs so that you can achieve your long-term fitness goals.

Sora Suh, PhD

Dr. Suh started her Pilates journey when she experienced chronic hip pain from pregnancy. Always a fitness aficionado, she had practiced different types of fitness from yoga to HIIT and half-marathons. But when her hip pain would not go away after giving birth, she turned to Pilates and found healing and strength that she could not find elsewhere.
Fueled by a desire to help others who were suffering from everyday aches and pains, Dr. Suh completed her 500+ hour Pilates training at Breathe Education (American Council on Exercise- ACE), and opened Pilates For You, a studio with semi-private and private sessions in Paramus, NJ with Reformer, Chair, Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Cadillac Pilates sessions.
Professionally trained as an educator (as a tenured university professor of Language Education), her desire to heal others is also coupled with her drive to educate. Dr. Suh makes sure that her clients are not only taking classes but also growing in their understanding and knowledge of Pilates principles and movements. Her goal is for clients to take ownership of their Pilates practice so that they can continue practicing at home on the mat and growing in strength wherever they go.
